I see things a little bit differently.
I look for the details.
I like to capture the way your child laughs or the way they hold your hand.
I look for creative ways that I can tell your family story by using the light available at the time.
If you want a serious, 'say cheese' type of photographer, then I'm definitely not for you.
My style is relaxed and I prefer to let children be children.
I don't pose babies or tell you exactly what to do, instead I will suggest things and give you some direction and then let the scene unfold before me, because this is where I find the most magic happens.
The real smiles, the real laughter, the real moments.
Well I know you clicked through to this page to find out more about me...
So where did my love of photography begin?
Probably with my Grandparent's slide machine (...eek showing my age!). I enjoyed being taken on their family holidays and moments that I could never experience myself through their photos.
This sparked a love of taking images and many years ago I was taught photography using film and developing in a darkroom. Oh those were the days! But now I use a high quality digital camera and edit my photos with a distinct 'film like' vibe.
I will always encourage you to print your images and not just keep them locked away in your computer. To me, there's something so special about holding a moment of time in your hand.
In everyday life when I'm not photographing you, I'm a wife and a Mum of 3 energetic boys and a baby girl (which is where the name 'Three and You' came from). I thought I'd add a motherhood self portrait in so you can see you don't have to explain anything to me when it comes to children - I completely understand and I understand how important it is for you to document this time in your life.
And even more importantly, I understand why you need to be in a photograph that your partner hasn't snapped with their phone... when you're asleep, with your mouth open...
Am I right?
